Persons attending the Annual Racers Grand Prix Track Meet at the National Stadium today are being advised that no firearms or other weapons are allowed at the venue.

The police say licensed firearm holders must make arrangements for the safekeeping of their weapons.

The police also say alcoholic beverages, glass bottles, large igloos, umbrellas with points or bottles with frozen liquid will not be permitted inside the National Stadium.

However, they say two litre plastic bottles and personal bottles will be allowed.

Meanwhile, members of the public are also being reminded that the police will be deployed in adequate numbers to ensure safety and order during the event and afterwards.

Persons are asked to cooperate with the Police and promptly obey all directions given.
