Father charged with causing death by dangerous driving after two-year-old's death
The police have charged the father of a two year old girl who died as a result of injuries she received in a motor vehicle accident in St Ann last month with Causing Death by Dangerous Driving.
The police say Omeal Riley, otherwise called ‘Twisted’ of Steer Town, St Ann was charged on Friday.
He is scheduled to attend the St Ann Parish Court on July 6.
The St Ann’s Bay Police say about 10:40 on the night of May 9, Omealia was travelling with her parents along Windsor roadway in a Toyota Tercel motorcar.
They say upon reaching the intersection of the AGR Byfield Highway and the Windsor main road Riley allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Toyota Wish motorcar.
Omealia sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Her parents were admitted in serious but stable condition.
