Jamaican man on US most wanted list to be extradited

The police are reporting that a Jamaican man who was listed among the top 10 most wanted in the United States is to be extradited.

The police say 35-year-old Gregory Gooden of Allamand Avenue in Black River, St Elizabeth was ordered extradited when he waived his rights during a hearing in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday.

They say Gooden was arrested by the Kingston Western Proactive Unit which carried out a raid at a house on Wellington Street, Kingston 14 on Monday, June 5.

The police say during processing, his true identity was unearthed and it was revealed that he was wanted in America for wire fraud and money laundering. 

Gooden was subsequently arrested.
