Sagicor gives Edna Manley student $250,000 scholarship

Kemar Williams (left), up-and-coming Jamaican artist, who secured the highest grade in the region in visual arts in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examination in 2011, enrolled at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in 2013; however, he had to put his studies on pause due to financial challenges. Sagicor Group Jamaica,having heard of Williams’ story, has offered the young artist a three-year scholarship through the Sagicor Foundation, valued at $250,000 annually, to finish his degree.
