June records highest murder tally since 2010
Police crime figures indicate that for the month of June, 141 persons were killed up to Tuesday.
That number is projected to rise when the final tally is done for the month.
This is the highest number of murders recorded for any one month in Jamaica since 2010.
Seven hundred and twelve people have been murdered in the island up to Tuesday.
This is compared with 593 murders over the same period last year, representing a 20 per cent increase.
St James, St Catherine North, Westmoreland and Clarendon continue to be the main areas of concern for the Police High Command.
