The National Works Agency (NWA) says it is currently undertaking improvement work along several roadways in St James.

This is being done through a $23 million Hot Mix Patching Programme.

Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says 22 road sections are targeted for improvement across the parish.

Ricketts says emphasis will be placed on the worst affected roadways.

Among the roadways which are slated to be improved are: the Anchovy to Shettlewood corridor, the stretch of roadway between Anchovy and Mt Horeb; the Barnett to Adelphi main road; and the Johns Hall to Stapleton roadway.

The improvement works, which are now in the preliminary stages, are expected to be completed by the end July.

Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of flag persons.
