Ganja valuing more than $1m seized, two men arrested in St Ann
Two men were arrested by the Narcotics Police yesterday after compressed ganja, with an estimated street value of just more than $1 million, was allegedly found in their vehicle along the Priory main road in St Ann.
The men’s identities are being withheld.
Police investigators say they will be questioned in the presence of their attorneys before being charged with possession of, dealing in, trafficking and taking steps to export ganja.
It’s reported that the vehicle was intercepted during a snap operation by detectives from the Police Narcotics Division.
Police sources say during a search of the vehicle 255 pounds of compressed ganja was found in six knitted bags containing 71 parcels.
The men are scheduled to appear in the St Ann Parish Court on Wednesday.
