The labour ministry has called an emergency meeting to avert industrial action by workers at the state-run Urban Development Cooperation (UDC).

The workers are upset over the 2015-17 wage negotiations and have issued a strike notice.

The meeting, set for this morning, will involve representatives from the UDC and the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union.
