Persons on the government’s welfare scheme the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) are to be given a reprieve on costly electricity bills.

The OUR says it has approved a Community Renewal Rate to be charged for Rate 10 residential service.

These customers will be charged a flat rate of $9.05 per kilowatt hour for electricity consumption up to 150 kilowatt hours per month.

The OUR says customers consuming above the limit will pay the regular prepaid or post-paid rate, whichever is applicable, for the incremental consumption above 150 kWh per month.
