$151 million cocaine bust in Olympic Gardens, two men arrested

The police have arrested two men in connection with a major drug bust in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew last evening.
According to police sources, investigators from the Narcotics Police Division were conducting operations along Bay Farm Road shortly before 8 o'clock when they intercepted two motor vehicles, one of which allegedly had 261 pounds of cocaine, valued at $151.5 million.
The drugs were seized as well as the two vehicles, a Honda Civic and a Honda CR-V, and the drivers taken into custody.
The cocaine was packaged in 95 rectangular parcels in the CR-V.
The men could be charged with conspiracy, possession of, dealing in, trafficking and taking steps to export cocaine after they are questioned in the presence of their attorneys.
This is the fourth cocaine seizure valued over $100 million in the past three months.
