Ten tertiary students have been awarded scholarships through the Grace Scholarship Fund.

It’s the fourth year that scholarships are being awarded under the fund, a non-profit organisation based in the United States.

"This year the award ceremony featured the most diverse group of students to date," said Charissa Lawrence, the Founder and Executive Director of The Grace Scholarship Fund.

The students are pursuing various academic programmes including dentistry, computer science, marine engineering, finance, auto body mechanics and biochemistry.

Lawrence said, historically, most donors to the Fund are from outside of Jamaica, however, this year more people living in Jamaica made donations and so additional scholarships could be provided.

She said already the Fund is starting to plan for next year’s scholarships.
