20 sniffer dogs bought, to arrive in two weeks – Montague
The country is to receive 20 sniffer dogs in the next two weeks.
This from National Security Minister Robert Montague who says the dogs were purchased by the Government.
A further 20 are to arrive later.
The dogs are to detect illegal guns and contrabands, as the Andrew Holness administration steps up anti-crime efforts amid a 25 per cent increase in crime this year in comparison to last year.
Montague made the announcement in Montego Bay, St James at a Jamaica Labour Party Area Council 4 meeting Sunday.
He said the Government will be relentless in fighting crime.
