Newman withdraws from Security Programme Oversight Committee

President of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, Egeton Newman has withdrawn as a member of the Security Programme Oversight Committee (SECURIPOC).

In a telephone conversation with National Security Minister, Robert Montague Monday, Newman indicated that he has a conflict.

He thanked Minister Montague for the opportunity to serve the nation, adding that he fully endorses SECURIPOC.

Newman wished the Committee and the Ministry success in working towards a safer and more prosperous Jamaica and said the organisation will provide a suitable replacement.
