NEPA says persons caught shooting during the closed season will be prosecuted under the Wild Life Protection Act (WLPA) and faces a fine of up to $100,000 or 12 months imprisonment.

The agency is encouraging the public to be vigilant and report all incidents of illegal shooting toll free at 888-991-5005 or the nearest police station.
