The Meteorological Service has forecast heavy rains across sections of the island for the next 48 hours.

The Met Office says a Trough is expected to move into the western Caribbean tomorrow and linger for a couple of days, influencing weather conditions across Jamaica.

It says atmospheric conditions are therefore expected to become more unstable across Jamaica starting early this morning.

As a result, Jamaicans can expect periods of light to moderate, and at times heavy showers and thunderstorms to occur across sections of most parishes, especially this afternoon and Wednesday.
