Some 5,000 permanent jobs are to be created with the development of a new technology park by Stanley Motta Limited, a subsidiary of the Musson Group.

The company says it will be investing more than US$30 million in developing the complex, which will be located in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew.

The development is now in phase-two and will add a 120,000 square feet four-storey building.

Speaking at a ground breaking ceremony this morning Stanley Motta Chairman, Melanie Subratie, said the idea is to create an environment that can support the existing and future customer requirements of the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.

The group described the development as the largest BPO facility in the English-speaking Caribbean.

The operator of the facility will be BPO company, Alorica.
