A man is now behind bars after he was caught transporting stolen cow carcases yesterday.

Another two men are on the run in relation to the praedial larceny.

According to reports from the police, four cows were stolen from a farm in Stolkes Hall in St Thomas early yesterday morning.

The owner of the cows reported the matter to the Golden Grove police after he realised that the cows were slaughtered and their carcases stolen.

The police say they made contact with their counterparts in Kingston for assistance as it was believed that the meat was being transported there for sale.

Sergeant Damion Harry of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Praedial Larceny Unit says the men were intercepted by the police in Harbour View, St Andrew.
