Collapsed roadway in Clarendon, motorists warned to proceed with caution along Bustamante Highway
The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists travelling along the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon between Glenmuir Road and the road to Vernamfield to proceed with caution as a section of the roadway in the eastbound lane has collapsed.
NWC Communications Manager, Stephen Shaw, says the roadway failed yesterday afternoon.
Shaw says the roadway has been reduced to single lane traffic and he is urging motorists to obey warning signs.
To avoid any delays, motorists heading towards Kingston from Mandeville can turn left at the Four Paths Roundabout and travel along Muirhead Avenue up to Glenmuir Road.
