The National Works Agency (NWA) says heavy rainfall continues to affect the main road network in St Thomas.

According to Communications and Customer Service Manager at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, Hordley Cross along the Pleasant Hill to Hectors River main road is currently impassable due to flooding while a section of the Port Morant to Bath roadway has been reduced to single lane traffic due to a landslide.

Shaw says these are in addition to the flooding at Poor Man’s Corner.

He is cautioning motorists to proceed with caution along the Mahogany Vale, Windsor Forest and Mount Vernon roadways as these roads are badly scoured.

The Bathe to Barrett’s Gap roadway has since been reopened.
