6-year-old killed after exiting taxi to cross main road

A six-year-old child was yesterday evening killed in a motor vehicle accident in Brown's Town, St Ann. 

Oneil Williams, a student at the Gibraltar All-Age School was mowed down by a motor car as he exited a taxi and attempted to cross the main road. 

Oneil was hit and dragged for some distance before the car ended up on an embankment. 

He died on the spot. 

The driver of the motor car was detained by the police.
