The late Marlon 'Duppy Flim' Perry.

The Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) has confirmed that one of the guns found in the possession of Marlon 'Duppy Film' Perry when he was killed by the police belonged to a licensed firearm holder.

The identity of the licensed firearm holder has not been released, but the FLA says it is working with the police and investigators to locate the individual.

The agency says it is encouraged by the pace of the investigation and expects that it will be completed shortly so that all questions can be answered.

Perry has been linked to more than 15 murders, including the fatal shooting of two policemen, and was at the top of the police most wanted list for months.

He was killed last month in a shootout with the police at a guest house in St Thomas.

The police say four guns were recovered at the scene.
