TAJ to open more offices on Saturdays as Traffic Ticket Amnesty nears end
With less than half of the over $500 million in outstanding traffic fines collected, Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says it will be opening more of its offices on Saturdays as the amnesty on traffic tickets nears its end.
In a release this morning, TAJ advised that it will operate three additional offices on the last two Saturdays of this month to accommodate motorists paying their outstanding traffic tickets.
These are Port Maria, Santa Cruz and Kingston.
These are in addition to the current seven offices that open on Saturdays in St Andrew, Montego Bay, Mandeville, Savanna-la-Mar, Spanish Town, May Pen and St Ann’s Bay.
The Portmore Tax Office will continue its normal Saturday operations.
The offices will operate from 10 o'clock in the morning to 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The three-month amnesty comes to an end on October 30.
