Sentence Reduction Day: Crystal Towers murderer pleads guilty
Phillip Brown, the man who beat his pregnant ex-girlfriend to death inside her Crystal Towers apartment in St Andrew last December, has pleaded guilty to murder.
Brown's guilty plea came in the Home Circuit Court today as part of Sentence Reduction Day.
So far, 11 of the 22 accused persons listed have pleaded guilty to murder, wounding with intent and sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old.
Brown is in line for a 50 per cent reduction in his sentence on December 15.
According to prosecutors, Brown used a blunt object to beat his pregnant ex-girlfriend Kerry-Ann Wilson to death before attempting to dump her body in a gully.
He managed to escape but later surrendered to police and gave a confession statement to investigators
