Sentence Reduction Day: Employee in deadly Moncrieffe attack pleads guilty
The former employee accused of going on a murderous rampage at Moncrieffe Patio Shop in St Andrew in March has pleaded guilty.
Omar Graham pleaded guilty to murder and three counts of wounding with intent.
Prosecutors indicate that Graham, who was fired by the operators of Moncrieffe Patio Shop, returned there on March 24 and attacked employees with a blunt object.
At the end of his rampage, Barbara Moncrieffe, co-owner of the establishment, was beaten to death and three other employees were hospitalised with serious injuries.
Graham is one of 22 persons who opted to take advantage of the second staging of Sentence Reduction Day now underway in the Supreme Court in downtown Kingston.
He is to be sentenced on December 15.
