The Education Ministry says a trauma team was sent to Catadupa Primary and Junior High in St James today to provide grief counselling following the shooting death of the school’s watchman.

Reports are that 42-year-old Paul Green was killed while on his way to work early this morning.

Green was reportedly leaving his home in the community when unknown assailants shot him and chopped him in his back.

He reportedly died while on his way to the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

Education Minister Ruel Reid says the killing has left students and staff traumatised.

Reid notes that the tragic death comes two days after another watchman was killed while on duty at Thompson Town High in Clarendon.
