St Thomas protest organisers released
The organisers of the road protest in St Thomas have been released from police custody.
Attorney, Bert Samuels, says Omar Ryan, who was arrested on Monday night, was released after being questioned for an hour and a half.
Ryan’s colleague, Andrew Turner, who was also arrested, was questioned for half an hour.
Samuels says the men were released about 8:50 last night without condition.
The Constant Spring police had said the men were being held on suspicion of being involved in criminal activity.
Their arrest followed hours of protest on Monday by residents of St Thomas who were demanding that their roads be fixed.
