The pedestrian bridge on Marescaux Road, St Andrew, in the vicinity of the Wolmer’s Girls’ School, has been reopened. The bridge was closed in late September for repairs.

Manager of communication and customer services at the National Works Agency Stephen Shaw says that an assessment of the structure, earlier this year, found that there were worn parts that needed to be repaired or replaced.

Rehabilitative work started on the bridge in September and was completed at the end of October.

The work, which was funded by the Road Maintenance Fund, was completed at a cost of $8.7 million.
