1,800 pounds of ganja seized in St Elizabeth

The police say more than 1,800 pounds of ganja was seized during an operation by the Narcotics Police in Comma Pen, St Elizabeth yesterday.

They say about 6:30 yesterday morning, detectives conducted a special anti-narcotics operation during which they found the ganja and other paraphilia relating to the narcotics trade.

The drug has an estimated street value of $8 million.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

The Narcotics Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about these illicit activities to call the Area 3 Narcotics Office at 635 2617, Crime Stop at 311 or the nearest police station.
