Woman hospitalised, son killed in Rhymesbury gun attack

A 24-year-old man is dead and his mother hospitalised in serious condition after they were attacked by a gunman last evening in Rhymesbury district, Clarendon.

The dead man has been identified as Kevin Miller, a farmer of the same community.

The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre understands that Miller was sitting on a bench in front of a shop operated by his mother while she was in the process of closing it about 6:50 when a lone gunman approached and opened gunfire.

Both mother and son were hit.

The police were summoned and the victims taken to hospital.

Miller, succumbed to injuries sustained to the neck and upper body.

The assailant escaped on foot.
