Residents of Orange Tree in St Thomas are now appealing to the government for a bridge.

The residents were yesterday marooned after the footbridge they erected washed away due to heavy rains which caused the Yallahs River to be in spate.
They say this is the case every time it rains.
Speaking with The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre, Audrey Brown said she was left stranded on the other side of the community on Tuesday along with her daughter and her three grandchildren including a baby.
She said the children who live in the community often miss school because of the situation.
