St Thomas, East Rural St Andrew residents not impressed with Environmental Impact Assessment
Several residents of St Thomas and East Rural St Andrew have described as unsatisfactory the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report outlining the first phase of the plans to widen the main road from Harbour View to Yallahs.
The plan is part of the proposed Southern Coastal Highway Improvement Project.
The residents voiced their disappointment following yesterday’s meeting held in Bull Bay by the National Works Agency (NWA) to publicly present the details of the report.
Resident Peter Espeut said the document is lacking much needed information.
President of the Bull Bay Football Club Paul Hibbert agreed with Espeut adding that the presentation was too vague as it failed to address some of the issues that are affecting the community.
The first public presentation was held in Albion on Tuesday where residents shared similar views.
