Eating a balanced diet is vital for good health and well-being. Consuming a sensible, balanced diet can help us to achieve optimal health throughout life. Complete Nutrition Care Diet Centre can help you with a wholesome, healthy lifestyle through customised meal packages, diet counselling and suggested exercise regimes to improve the quality of your life.

One of Scotiabank's Vision Achiever top participants, Complete Nutrition Care Diet Centre offers the Meta-Balance 360 programme that includes pre-packaged meals, including high-fibre shakes which naturally speed up the metabolic cycle and reduces prostate cancers in men and other cancers in women.

According to nutritionist Janet Rankine-Henry, following her participation in Scotiabank's Vision Achiever programme, her business has evolved to the point where her customers are now more comfortable while engaging in their health and wellness programmes.

Rankine-Henry, who has been in the nutrition industry for more than 10 years, said that with the knowledge she has gained, she has been able to revamp the business and implement recommendations she received during the sessions and those she also got from her clients.

ENOUGH TIME

"Persons are now able to tell us what they want and we were able to structure the operations of the business to meet the needs of the clients. Initially, it was a one-man show, but based on the training I received, I was able to get other persons involved and this gave me enough time to concentrate on the operational aspects of the business," Rankine-Henry said.

Since then, Complete Nutrition Care Diet Centre has seen a tripling of revenue for the period March to June, when compared to the same period in 2016. Overall, the company recorded revenue of approximately $2.3 million during the four-month period. Unit sales also increased by 52 per cent, moving from an average of 600 units to 1,155 per month.

"We learnt so much from the progamme. We continue to get referrals daily and our client base has grown even more. Enjoyment of a healthy diet can be one of the great cultural pleasures of life, and maintaining a healthy diet and exercise programme will be what is needed to achieve those goals," Rankine-Henry said.

Full-service operation

Complete Nutrition Care Diet Centre focuses on portion control. Nutritious meals are prepared in the correct portions, with less salt and oil to make it as healthy as possible without being bland. These are vacuumed-packed, frozen meals that are easily stored in the freezer and can be ready in just a few minutes.

The company also offer consultation sessions that helps clients make better food choices and develop a deeper understanding as to what specific changes are required, including the need for increased physical activity, as well as coaching with support along the way.

Since 2011, Scotiabank has delivered internationally recognised coaching programmes to select groups of the bank's small business clients that are offered in partnership with ActionCOACH.

In 2015, Scotiabank expanded the programme under the brand Scotiabank Vision Achiever programme and opened it up so that all registered businesses operating for two years or more can have the opportunity to apply. To date, 155 business owners have benefited.
