The police are expressing confidence they will nab the other members of a notorious gang they say has been responsible for several murders, shootings and rapes across seven parishes.

Yesterday, the police reported that they had arrested 25 of 44 identified members of the Terrence Gang.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey, who heads the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime (CTOC), told reporters at a press conference yesterday that 15 of them were arrested during a police operation on Saturday.

He says among those taken in are three women and a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

He’s confident the police have identified every member of the gang and says the others will soon be rounded up.

ACP Bailey is warning other gang members to turn themselves in as the police continue to dismantle Jamaica’s gangs.
