Shaw to table supplementary estimates of expenditure today
Finance Minister Audley Shaw is expected to table the first supplementary estimates of expenditure in Parliament this afternoon.
He made the disclosure last week in the House of Representatives after an enquiry was made by the Leader of the Opposition, Dr Peter Phillips, who noted that no word has been forthcoming on the tabling of the document.
Among the new items expected in the budget is a provision for flood damage, particularly in Montego Bay, recently.
Parliament has approved a national budget of approximately $716 billion for the 2017-18 financial year.
