Dameon Brackett, president of the Rotary Club of Kingston East and Port Royal, poses with his unit of blood donated during a blood drive organised by the club in partnership with the Rotary Club of Trafalgar New Heights recently (December 2) at the National Chest Hospital in St Andrew. The Blood Bank received enough units of blood, through the initiative, to provide transfusion services for 54 people. The event was organised by the Rotary clubs to assist with shoring up the supply of blood during the Christmas holidays. The country normally experiences a significant increase in demand for blood during the Holiday season.
