A 65-year-old JUTA operator died in a freak accident yesterday in Upton district in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

It's reported that Bonita Folks was driving his Toyota Mark 2 motor car along the Calder Gully main road about 8 o' clock in the morning when the vehicle hit a culvert.

Folks reportedly exited the car to see whether any damaged was done to his vehicle.

However, upon inspecting his vehicle, he reportedly lost his balance and fell between 40 and 50 feet into a gully with gushing waters.

He died before help could reach him.

His body was removed from the gully by firefighters in the presence of the police who had visited the scene.
