NEPA warns about effluent in Barnes Gully in Kingston

Published:Wednesday | December 20, 2017 | 12:51 PM

The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) is advising the public that there is a broken sewage main releasing effluent through the Barnes Gully in the vicinity of St Georges College, North Street in Kingston.

The Agency is asking persons to refrain from using the gully as a thoroughfare or harvesting solids that may seem useful to them.

NEPA says it's in dialogue with the National Water Commission to have the problem addressed in the shortest possible time.
