It wasn’t your usual Wednesday afternoon at the Half-Way-Tree branch of the JN Bank as customers were treated to a lunch-hour concert featuring gospel artiste and JN Group Brand Ambassador Kevin Downswell.

The usually quiet and business-like atmosphere of the bank was quickly transformed into a worship hall as shouts of hallelujah and sounds of praise filled the air.

Downswell thrilled patrons to soul stirring favourites such as “You make me stronger”, “If it’s not you”, and “Nah Bow”.

The worship-like and reflective mood was undeniable as members and customers, while still conducting business, danced and sang along to the performance.

Downswell also took time out of his performance to sign copies of the JN Bank’s 2018 calendar for patrons, who were later treated to cake and sorrel.

For Karitta Solomon, who has been a JN customer for over 30 years, the concert was “a pleasant and refreshing experience”.

“I think this was an absolutely wonderful treat for us customers. It’s a great idea. I was especially excited to meet Kevin and to have him sign my new JN calendar. I’m a big fan of Kevin Downswell and so I was pleasantly surprised to see him here today. I was blessed by this concert,” she said.

Claudine Allen, executive, member relations and quality assurance at the Jamaica National Group said the lunch hour concert at the Half-Way-Tree branch was part of Customer Appreciation Day activities held at all JN branches and MoneyShops across the island last Wednesday.

“This was just a small way that the JN Group to give back to and celebrate the members of our JN Family. We wanted to let them know we care about them and appreciate their support over the last year as we transitioned from the former Jamaica National Building Society and emerged as JN Bank,” she said.

“We wish for all our members and customers a wonderful holiday season and hope for even greater blessings in the New Year,” Allen added.
