MIDA reports more than $140m distributed to microenterprises last financial year
Micro Investment Development Agency (MIDA) distributed $143.58 million to microenterprises last financial year.
A total of 1,396 microenterprises benefited.
The agency, in its 2016-17 annual report to Parliament, informed that the service sector received 87 per cent of the total loans granted or $122.17 million.
MIDA, through a revolving fund, provides financing to assist new and existing MSMEs in agriculture, manufacturing and services, among other sectors.
