The National Water Commission (NWC) says a disruption in the public electricity supply is responsible for some residents in sections of the Corporate Area and St Catherine being without their regular water supply.

The NWC says the electricity supply to its Tulloch Spring facility has been disrupted and this has affected the water supply to residents on Washington Boulevard, Molynes Road, Spanish Town Road, Kent Village and sections of downtown Kingston.

It says residents in Hamilton Gardens, Christian Gardens & Pen, Newland Road, Cumberland, Cedar Grove, Edgewater, Waterford, Gregory Park, Braeton, Independence City, Hellshire, East Eltham Park, Keystone, and sections of Portmore and Simon are also being affected.

The NWC says it will provide updates on the disruption later today.
