Trelawny communities flooded following overnight rain, Jackson Town Tax Office closed
Several communities in Northern Trelawny have been flooded following continuous rainfall overnight.
Residents in Clark’s Town and Jackson Town are among those affected.
Social media images show a man using a boat to move about in a flooded yard in Clark’s Town.
In the meantime, Tax Administration Jamaica says the Jackson Town Tax Office has been closed because the property is flooded.
The police are also advising that the Long Pond Main Road in Clark's Town is impassable because of rising waters.
Motorists are being asked to use the alternative routes through Rio Bueno and Jackson Town.
Pedestrians and motorists are urged to proceed with caution.
