The president of the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME) , Donovan Wignall, says tackling the country’s crime problem will require greater accountability from police personnel in supervisory roles across police divisions and stations.

Speaking on Real Business on Power 106 FM last evening, Wignall said a comprehensive solution must be implemented to help to curtail crime, starting with the proper management of resources.

He argues that many of the policing issues cannot be blamed on the minister of national security or police commissioner, but the cops in charge of various police units across Jamaica.

According to him, there is not enough accountability at the level of line supervisors.

He says crime remains a major concern for members of the MSME Alliance.
