Clarendon mother of three shot dead execution style
Gunmen yesterday shot and killed a mother execution style and attempted to set her house on fire with her children inside in Lionel Town, Clarendon.
Dead is 35-year-old janitor Joy Cammock.
The police say early yesterday morning Cammock and her three children were awoken by strange sounds in their yard.
She went to investigate and shortly after explosions were heard.
When she did not return, her eldest daughter made checks and saw her in a kneeling position with gunshot wounds to the body.
The police say it is suspected that her attackers attempted to set fire to the house as a section of the premises appeared to have been lit.
At least 13 people were reportedly murdered between Saturday and Sunday, across eight parishes.
This figure includes a triple murder in St Thomas and two murders at a funeral in St James, where a state of public emergency has been declared.
