Tears and sorrow took over some teachers and students at Bog Walk High School in St Catherine as they mourn the murder of grade eight student John Reynolds.

The 15-year-old teen, his father, Marlon, and a woman were found dead in Linstead in the parish on Friday night.

The police say about 11:35 residents at Yohan Close stumbled upon their bodies and summoned them.

On their arrival, the police say the bodies were seen lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to their upper body.

Bog Walk principal, Patrick Phillips, says the school community, especially the teen’s classmates, is deeply affected by the killing.

Phillips says guidance counsellors at the school and a trauma team from the Ministry of Education is providing support to students and staff.

He bemoaned the tragic incident.
