Flow’s retail division awards top performers

The Retail division at Flow Jamaica recognised its top performers in an inaugural 'WOW Awards for Excellence' event at the Courtleigh Hotel in New Kingston on January 27.

Forty team members, including members of the management team, sales force, and as the support staff, were rewarded for outstanding work which covered the areas of corporate sales, consumer sales, technical expertise, training, sales support, administration, and leadership.

Whitney Fennell, vice-president of retail sales and distribution, who served as master of ceremonies, said that the awards formed part of the division's key strategic pillars. "We care about the well-being and welfare of our colleagues and we believe it is important to reward the efforts of those team members who made a significant contribution to the company's achievements in 2017," Fennell said.

"We work with a group of people who never fail to go the extra mile to ensure the needs of our customers are met, and this is but one way to show our appreciation," he added.

 

Selling excellence

 

In acknowledging the contribution of the retail team members, a proud Stephen Price, managing director, encouraged them to continue making strides in delivering and even exceeding their targets for the business. "We're working as one team to deliver excellence to our customers," he said.

Rochelle 'Adrenaline Roch' Cameron, vice president of legal and regulatory, who had the duty of main speaker, delivered an invigorating presentation to the awardees. "Retail is the team that's selling excellence to Jamaica. Life is about having the commitment to finish strong, never give up. never give in. There is a winner instinct in you!" she said.

Leroy Hurmal, a Flow veteran of more than 30 years, now a driver, was humbled by his WOW award and recognition. "I feel so honoured to work with the team, and I really look forward to it each day!" he exclaimed.

Retail is aimed at driving sales through five channels: retail corporate sales, retail partner sales, recharge sales and distribution, telesales, and consumer sales.
