Four alleged MoBay gangsters held in St Catherine State of Public Emergency

The police are reporting that four members of the Montego Bay based G-City Gang are among the 123 people so far detained in the State of Public Emergency in the St Catherine North division. 

The State of Public Emergency was declared yesterday by Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

According to the police, 96 of the detainees have been processed and released while 27 remain in custody.

*Three detainees wanted for several offences including simple larceny, shooting with intent, unlawful wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
*Three arrested for breaches of the Firearms Act following the seizure of a Glock Pistol with a magazine containing 10 rounds on the Bernard Lodge Main Road
*Two arrested for Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The public is being reminded that it is an offence to harbour criminals.
