Vale Royal Talks to resume in April
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the first meeting of the Vale Royal talks will be held in April.
Holness said he is hoping to build consensus with the People’s National Party and the Jamaica Labour Party, for which he is the leader, on the way forward on critical national issues.
"This includes some constitutional issues, but I’m also hoping we can get some consensus on policies, specifically on national security and on growth policies," the Prime Minister said.
The Vale Royal Talks were initiated a decade and a half ago with the aim of seeking political consensus on matters that the society believed should be above partisanship.
During their tenures, Prime Ministers Portia Simpson Miller and Bruce Golding convened the sessions of the Vale Royal Talks.
