Sagicor Group Jamaica launched its Leadership Development Programme, SagicorLEAD, on April 17 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, where 15 talented team members from across the Group were announced as part of the first cohort to participate in the programme.

The dynamic and performance-driven leadership development programme is designed to help groom and train outstanding team members to take on leadership roles in the organisation in the future. The selected participants of the programme will be assigned two mentors to help them with both personal and professional guidance throughout the programme duration.

Each SagicorLEAD cohort will undertake the programme for a maximum of 18 months, with team members' enhanced learning and development being achieved through formal training sessions, planned on-the-job training - rotations within various departments across the Group - meetings monthly/quarterly review sessions, along with selected reading materials for discussion. The 15 successful candidates were selected from a shortlisted group of 28 from an overall submission of 74 applicants.
