Six homeless after fire destroys dwellings in Mobay
Fire destroyed two dwellings, a seven apartment two-story house and a three apartment flat in Lower Kings Street in Montego Bay, St James yesterday afternoon.
It's reported that two children who were in one of the houses at the start of the blaze were rescued unharmed by one of the adult occupants.
The blaze left six persons, including two children, homeless. The occupants say all their belongings were destroyed by the fire.
The Jamaica Fire Brigade, which responded at 2:11 pm to the emergency with two units and 10 firefighters, reported that they were not yet clear as to what caused the fire or the estimated loss.
They continue to investigate.
