Sharon Miller appointed ambassador-designate to Brazil
Career foreign service officer Sharon Miller has been appointed ambassador-designate to Brazil.
Miller, who has worked in the foreign service for 35 years, is currently the director of the Economic Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry and a member of the Permanent Mission to the International Seabed Authority, headquartered in Kingston.
She served as deputy chief of mission at the Jamaican Embassy in Washington DC.
The Ambassador-designate, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and has done graduate work in development studies.
She is married with two children.
Miller will assume duties in Brasilia next month.
